Registration and licenses

October 20, 1989, IMB received permission from the State Bank of the USSR to conduct banking transactions and was included in the Finance Ministry registry of joint ventures with foreign companies.

On 15 of November, 1991, IMB received General License No. 1 of Bank of Russia to conduct banking transactions both in roubles and foreign currency.

On 20 December 2007 the Bank has officially changed its legal name to Closed Joint-Stock Company “UniCredit Bank” according to new General Licence for banking operations ¹1 of Bank of Russia.
